The arrival of 2011 will herald the launch of the next version of ipad. This version should definitely incorporate some changes that will overcome the shortcomings on the current version in the market.
The launch of iPhone 4 brought smiles to a lot of people across the world since it came with features that were much better than that of its predecessor. People are now eagerly awaiting the launch of the next version of iPad to see if similar improvements will be made by Apple in their second version.
The current version of iPad in the market today will benefit from the iOS 4 update in fall this year. This will bring it on par with the iPhones. However, in terms of improvements in hardware, what should we look forward to from the next version of iPad?
The next version, in addition to the accelerometer, will surely incorporate the gyroscope. This will bring cheer to the gamers since it will enhance the precision controls and responsiveness for games. This addition will also enable creation of many more real time applications on this tablet.
The existing design of the hardware has to be changed to incorporate FaceTime, which is one of the most loved features of the iPhone 4.
One of the other changes that should be incorporated in the next version is memory enhancement. The current version has only 256MB storage memory which is equivalent to iPhone 3GS. The next version should either have or exceed the memory storage capacity offered by the current iPhone version, which is 512MB.
Even a Motorola Droid has a memory storage capacity of 512MB and the future Android tablets will prove to be tough competition for the iPad when they are launched in the market.
Though there are many more improvements that are necessary, these seem to be the ones they cannot compromise on.
